PRACTICAL SURVEYING FOR JUNIOR ENGINEERS
Stop guessing. Start setting out.
College can teach the theory. Site work asks you to read the latest information, understand control, prepare the instrument, make an independent check and report what happened. ESOS Academy makes that workflow visible.

MODULE FAQ
Everything in this first technical module is designed to help you prepare for supervised work—not replace site instruction or practical verification.
The €39 module is currently in production review. Its scope is available now; approved video lessons and materials will be released in your Academy learning area once publication is confirmed.
The planned module includes four focused lessons, a pre-measurement field card, a task-plan prompt and QA/handover guidance. The final downloadable materials will be published alongside the approved lessons.
No. You can use the module to understand the preparation and checks first. Any live instrument work must follow the project procedure and take place with appropriate competent supervision.
No. It is preparatory digital learning. It does not authorise unsupervised work, replace site safety controls or award a regulated qualification.
The learning is designed for junior engineers, recent graduates, internationally trained professionals and working construction staff who need a clearer practical surveying workflow. Each offer states its own prerequisites and level.
Essential instruments for published practical workshops are provided unless the workshop page says otherwise. Learners should follow the stated clothing, PPE and laptop requirements for their session.
The flagship practical format is capped at six learners so each participant can complete supervised tasks. Employer or custom-group arrangements may use a separately agreed format.
A certificate of completion confirms the Academy learning activities listed on that record. It is not a regulated qualification, professional registration, licence, safety credential or independent confirmation of workplace competence.

WHAT THE PAID PATHWAY COVERS
The pathway gives you a structured place to prepare, practice and record what you have completed.
Work through the Academy foundations before practical time: drawing preparation, coordinate control, Total Station and GNSS/GPS context, QA and point-cloud basics.
Bring the preparation into a small, supervised workshop with real equipment and room for questions, independent checks and reflection.
Keep your pre-work, observed practical activities and completion record together in your Academy account.
BUILT FOR REAL SITE WORK
Use free lessons and short modules to understand drawings, control and the checks before site practice.
Work through instrument workflows in a small, supervised practical group.
Record completed Academy learning and practical evidence honestly in one place.
CLEAR EXPECTATIONS
Workshop group size is limited to six engineers so the practical session stays small and supervised.
You can watch the public lesson and create an Academy account without payment details.
Academy records show completed learning activities. They do not claim regulated qualifications or professional registration.
